Green Organics

Green Organics is a fabulous choice for all natural makeup, not just because their products are largely organic and vegan, but because they have a great consciousness about the environment.

Green Organics has brought together an impressive collection of organic beauty and skin care lines with an array of products to fit every skin type - Although they don't sell their own line, the companies whose products they promote have been carefully scrutinized to meet their quality standards.

This gives you a great selection of cosmetic and beauty products - all in one place!

All the Green Organics products are chemical-free and are shipped in biodegradable packaging. Green Organics actively encourages its manufacturers to use nature-safe processes to create truly healthy cosmetics.

Most of their products go beyond just containing organic ingredients and have been certified organic. This means that they have been held to a very high standard and have been found acceptable. Green Organics has 12 accredidation organizations certifying its products as organic and carbon-neutral. These organizations include Quality Assurance International, EcoCert, Organic Federation of Australia and the USDA. It's actually a pretty impressive list!

An interesting note for those vegans who are on the fence about honey - Green Organics makes a point of stipulating that beeswax is the only non-vegan ingredient they use in their all natural makeup, and that no bees are harmed during the manufacturing process.

The Green Organics Cosmetic Collection

  • Lipstick and Lip Gloss - Although Nvey Eco Organic Lipstick and Lip Gloss does contain beeswax, it does not use carmine - made from grinding up red beetles - in its color base. Moisturizing ingredients include Safflower Oil, Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Candelilla Wax, and Natural Vitamin E.

    Suki Colour Pure Cream Stain for Lips and Cheeks also contains beeswax and Suki's all natural makeup indgredients include shea butter, organic rose hip seed oil, organic jojoba seed oil, and pure rose wax.

  • Eyeshadow - Choose from the Nvey Eco or Suki collections. Nvey Eco has a large selection of colors - all vegan! - as well as several lovely 5-color palettes. Ingredients include jojoba and carrot oils and chamomille extract.

    The Suki Eye Definer serves as both an eyeshadow and a vitamin and mineral treatment cream. The Suki products are organic, but not vegan - ingredients include organic rose hip seed oil, evening primrose oil, shea butter and beeswax. See the Product Quality Check below for details.

  • Blush - Nvey Eco Organic Blush Powder is vegan and is formulated with Corn Silk, Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil, Chamomile Extract, and Carrot Oil to moisturize skin and protect against free radicals.

  • Foundation - Nvey Eco and Suki foundation products include cream and liquid foundations, concealers, compact powders and tinted moisturizers. These all natural makeup products are organic, but not vegan because they contain beeswax. Organic ingredients include Wild Marjoram, Cinnamon Bark, Cucumber and Lavender Flower.

  • Mascara - Nvey Eco mascara comes in black, brown, and blue. Conditioning herbal ingredients include Nettle, Horsetail, Thyme, Rosemary, Cinnamon bark and Lavender flower. Suki Colour Rich Pigment Mascara is especially formulated to thicken lashes. Ingredients include organic sunfolower seed oil, organic rose hip seed oil, evening primrose oil, organic, pure rose wax, and organic rose extract. Comes in Copper Brown and Black Velvet.
